I woke up in hospital and had no idea how I wound up there. All I remember is enjoying a beer at a restaurant in the middle of the day, and then I draw a blank. What happened during the next 24 hours between that quiet lager and landing in hospital was a mystery, but I knew for sure I was missing $200 in cash, my credit card and camera. It turned out I had been drugged, kidnapped and robbed.

After several hours, including multiple tests and medicines at the hospital, the doctor decided that I likely had a viral infection, possibly Dengue Fever, but that I was well enough to fly and I was discharged with several prescriptions.

Mountain biking accident

I was out mountain biking when a tree got in my way. On impact, the handle bars of my bike twisted, bluntly jutting into my ribs before I went flying. I was in a lot of pain but there was no external bruising. When I started having muscle spasms near my ribs, I went to a nearby hospital and I was told I had multiple fractures in my ribs.
